What Is Your Instagram Stories Marketing Strategy?

Are you or your business using Instagram Stories to reach your customers and help build your brand? If not, why? According to a recent Techcrunch article, “Now one in five Instagram Stories posted by a business receives a Direct Message reply, allowing Instagram to seduce advertisers who want private channels for communicating with customers.” If you could reach just one potential customer per week, how would that help your business? Instagram Stories is a major focus of the company and now Instagram has plans to make it easier to view AND post stories from the web. Last week, Instagram announced that users can now watch Instagram Stories from desktop browsers. This is huge news as the company has taken a step to move beyond its mobile only capabilities of uploading and downloading pictures and videos. The desktop availability will be rolled out to users worldwide within the next few weeks, and will continue to appear at the top of the news feed. But it doesn’t stop there with just viewing, users will also be able to post stories from the mobile web in the next few months. 

Instagram is continuing to improve upon and broaden their features while growing their user base. Per Instagram’s press release. “Stories has quickly become an important part of the Instagram experience — over 250 million people use it every day to see what their friends are doing in the moment. Now we’re excited to bring stories to people who use Instagram on the web.” Stories has even helped Instagram user base surpass that of Snapchat’s 173 million daily users
